T6 ASIA A Complete, August 2002
On August 10, 2002 I sustained a T6 spinal cord injury from a motocycle accident that left me paralyzed but NOT DEFEATED. Unsatisfied after being told to adapt to life in a wheelchair, I was determined to explore other options. I joined forces with exercise physiologist's, Michele Brock and Matt Ranson and together, we worked on my recovery. I spent the last four years building SCI-Step, Inc. SCI-Step, Inc. is a private out-patient physical therapy facility focused on acquiring and implementing state-of-the-art exercise modalities to assist neuromuscular recovery for individuals with spinal cord injuries. I believe that not only is recovery possible but life without the use of a wheelchair can be obtained.
