C6 COMPLETE/SCI, April 2004

On April 1st, 2004, I was coming home from work on the interstate. Before I knew what had happened, I woke up in ICU with a spinal cord injury. Apparently, my suv rolled over a few times, causing the roof to cave in and break my neck. Unfortunately, it wasn't April's Fool but a reality.
I was planning to start a family with my husband. I still hope to one day have lots of kids and the miracle of walking again.
