C-4 Incomplete, Transverse Myelitis, May 2003

At the age of 7 months, Jonathan was stricken with a rare neurological condition called Transverse Myelitis. In one day he went from learning to crawl, to being paralyzed from the shoulders down and ventilator dependent. Over the past 4 years Jonathan has really sruggled but he has finally started to make progress. He is working hard on keeping his muscles strong for the cures that we all hope are on the way. Jonathan has gone to the Capitol in our state to support Stem cell research. Connecticut has now passed a bill to allow this research with state funding.
No one, especially children, should have to endure so much pain and struggle in their lives.
Jonathan has amazing strength for a 4 year old and he is truly an inspiration to everyone he meets. Especially to his parents.
