A cry for Help
I am 48 years old now trying to raise a 10 year old daughter while in constant pain. I thought that I was alone, almost gave up. in 2002 I was told that I had to have brain surgery. I have a Chiari I malformation and marked syringomyelia within the cervical spinal cord. On 2/19/03. I underwent suboccipitil cranietomy, C1 laminectomy, and dural patch graft with decompression . I continue to have severe pain. I was under pain management and given every pain pill under the sun. On Aug 2007 I was given my discharge papers. now I am running out of med's and no hospital will take me under their care. and I dont know what to do or whom to turn to after Oct 30th 2007. not only will I have to deal with my pain but the withdraws from the pain killer as well. I didn't ask for this disease, I was born with It and accepted it, I didn't ask for all the pain killers i was given them in the hospital,for 5 years, i can't imagine the side effect that I will have to endure. Please Help my cry for Life.
