My dad, Ronnie Kusiak, recently suffered a tragic accident, resulting in paralysis. Currently, the damages are permanent; therefore, many adjustments will be made, to our home, farm, and our overall lifestyle, especially his.
If you have ever met my dad, you can vouch for me, and if you have not, I’ll do the best I can to describe the measure of a man that he is.
He was born 6-16-1960 at 6:00, weighing 6 lbs and 6 ounces. You would think that with all those “6’s” that this child was bound to be the Devil’s son. However, my dad is the exact opposite.
At 16 (more 6’s again) he took over the family dairy farm. The road he travels along is by no means an easy one, but you would never know that. He has worked everyday of his life, other than a mere 3 day vacation every year, but never would you hear him complain. In fact, his free time was spent helping others.
He has been taken to a completely different world, the world of a paraplegic. Of course, he is scared, we all are. In our hearts, we know that he can do it.
