I became paralyzed in a snowboarding accident. I went off a badly built jump and landed on an up-slope, breaking my vertebra that cut my cord. Amazing how life can change in an instant.

I have been amazed by my friends and family. Their unending support and love. How people can jump up to the plate to help in times of need. It has given me a positive perspective of humanity I don't think I would have gained otherwise. It's humbling.

But if I had my choice I would not want to stay this way forever. It is an uphill battle everyday, like it or not. Health, Medical Supplies, Prescriptions, Insurance, and just getting the simple stuff done is a struggle.

I hope my government will wake up soon and realize that medical advances need to be made now! There is a lot of suffering that needs to be alleviated! There are a lot of lives whose quality could be so much better! There are a lot of us hoping and praying for better days to come! Please help us.
